O-uchi-gari (Major Inner Reap)

This throw is particularly effective if uke moves with a wide and open stance. An effective setup for O-uchi-gari involves pulling uke. When uke resists, attack with O-uchi-gari. Often in competition, the sweeping leg initiates the attack. Popular and effective combinations involve Ko-uchi-gari and Kuchiki-taoshi. O-uchi-gari can be countered by doing Sasae-tsurikomi-ashi on uke's supporting/driving leg.
