This past Sunday, March 18^th 2012 the Princeton Judo Club hosted the annual New Jersey State Judo Championship. One hundred and sixty four participants from 36 Judo clubs representing 4 states competed to bring home the gold. Please join me in congratulating all of the following medal winners.

MAKING JUDO HISTORY WITH JANE BRIDGE,

7TH DAN AND 1ST WOMANS CHAMP

On Saturday, April 28th , at Drexel University from 1 pm to 4 pm there will be a

workshop and conference with Jane Bridge, the first woman to win the
world championship in 1980, 3 times champion of Europe, coach to French and UK Olympic teams and winner of Veterans Masters competition, 2008 Brazil.
Participate in this unique opportunity to work 1 on 1 with a World Champion
and Olympic trainer, hear from her what it means to be a world champion
and what Judo means to her. As a prominent member of the Judo community,
Jane Bridge has dedicated her life to training and competing at the highest levels of Judo and is coming to Drexel University for this one day April 28, 2012.
The session is a collaboration with a documentary film crew, making a film
about Jane Bridge called “A winners Journey”. Your participation in this
workshop will also include you in the documentary. You can see information

With the coming snow storm I am sure many of you will be wondering if we are holding class. I will give you four places to check on the status of class.

1) You may call the YWCA at 609-497-2100 X – 370. If the Y is closed so are we.

2) I will send out an email indicating the status of class.

3) You may check our Princeton Judo Facebook page as well as www.princetonjudo.com

4) If all else fails please feel free to call me at 732-406-3646. It will say you reached my psychotherapy office. It’s Ok to leave a message and I will get back to you.

I recommend checking our web page on days of class just incase we have to cancel class for any reason. If this is the case I will post something by 3pm

Bates Scholarship Fund

Those needing financial assistance may apply for Pearl Bates Scholarships in person at the Registration Office, or by calling the Financial Aid Coordinator at 609-497-2100, ext. 319. Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and only if funds are available. Applications must be received at least ten days prior to the start of classes. Applications with unanswered questions will not be considered.
