The 2008 East Coast Judo Championship will be held at NJIT on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28, 2008. This is the largest local tournament that our club regularly competes in, and all judoka are encouraged to compete. The application deadline is September 20, 2008.

Kata exams are being held at APA on Saturday, June 14, 2008. Ikkyu judoka who have accrued enough points to be promoted to shodan must pass the kata exam first.

Cranford will be hosting an invitational tournament on Sunday, May 18, 2008. All judoka are encouraged to compete. Applications can be downloaded from the Cranford website. Please let Sensei Cory know if you plan to compete.
Note: Cranford tournament divisions are based on points rather than weight; both weight and rank contribute to points.

The Hudson Judo Promotional for brown and black belt seniors will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at APA. Any senior judoka holding a rank of sankyu or above should consider playing; participating in promotionals is required in order to be promoted.
The application deadline is May 14, 2008.

North Jersey Judo will be holding a grappling clinic featuring nationally ranked judoka David Ellis on Saturday, March 22. Any judoka who are interested in participating should fill out an application form as soon as possible and let Sensei Cory know.

The Aikido club will be holding a demonstration in Gym B on Wednesday, March 19. Judoka registered for the class may make it up at the end of the semester.

Warmups will start at approximately 8:00 PM. Randori will last until 9:30-10:00 PM or until everyone gets tired. Judoka from Mainline Judo, Philly Judo Club, Drexel Judo, and Villanova Judo are expected to attend.
The back room of the dojo will be used for ne-waza. The front room will be used for tachi-waza. Rounds last for 2-3 minutes and judoka switch in and out at their discretion.

The 21st Annual Liberty Bell Judo Classic will be held on Saturday, April 5 (Juniors) and Sunday, April 6 (Seniors) at Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, PA. Experienced judoka are encouraged to compete. The application and other information can be downloaded from the Liberty Bell website.
