Uki-otoshi (Floating Drop)

This rarely attempted throw in competition is accomplished by a strong pull on a forward leaning uke. May be effective against O-uchi-gari or Hiza-guruma. Countering Uki-otoshi involves side-stepping and attempting any forward throw, or merely knocking/driving tori down and going into mat work.
