Kata-guruma (Shoulder Wheel)

Best suited for shorter players. The best moment to attack is when uke leans or moves forward. A good defense against Kata-guruma involves controlling the sleeve of tori's attacking arm. Sprawling, a basic wrestling move against this skill, is also an excellent way of defending against Kata-guruma, especially if tori attacks off the lapel rather than off the sleeve.
