De-ashi-barai (Advanced Foot Sweep)

Typically attempted on uke's forward foot, either moving forward or backward. To be successful, it requires a coordinated action between the hand pulling in one direction and the foot sweeping in the opposite direction. The most effective counterattack is Tsubami-gaeshi, which involves bending the attacked leg at the knee and countering with a De-ashi-barai.
